Final push for Diane Di Prima and a sub-closing...

Harriet—  I will keep this as short as a multi-tiered tweet:  We are at 84% for Diane Di Prima's fundraiser!

Is it possible to take us all the way to 100% by Tuesday?  I think so.

In sub-closing, I wanted to tell you I looked back today through some of my favorite posts on Harriet over the last few years and found myself back at the first post I wrote in 2009,  Welcome Thy Hallucinator.  In this introductory piece, I closed with these most apropos words:

...Or the moment you got to see Diane Di Prima read journal entries in a small room.  How your guts puckered and made love to the back of your ribs.  How great poets and great poetry have helped you define yourself as a woman outside of a mad, monstrous entertainment industry that eats away at all things truly feminine.  How your struggle for an authentic and whole identity has heavily informed your work as a poet, and your poetry has informed your strength as an actress.

It's a reminder to me that the work is important.  That it's still not done.  That life is truly poetic.   Let's DO THIS, community!  DONATE To help get Diane Di Prima's Fundraiser all the way to the twenty thousand dollar mark!   We can MAKE THIS HAPPEN!  I BELIEVE in you like Aaron Neville don't give-a-F about Melanocytic Nevus!  That's code for ESPIONAGE!  That means I be spyin' on your ability to GIVE, yo!

(AND YES, ALL OF THESE HYPERLINKS ARE DIRECTING YOU TO ONE,  ULTIMATE #1 GOAL:  DIANE THE PREMIERE.  HER LAST NAME LITERALLY TRANSLATING TO "THE FIRST". )
