Rebecca Ruth Gould

Rebecca Ruth Gould is a writer and translator. Her books include Writers and Rebels: The Literatures of Insurgency in the Caucasus (Yale University Press, 2016), Cityscapes (2019), The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Activism (2020, co-edited with Kayvan Tahmasebian), The Persian Prison Poem: Sovereignty and the Political Imagination (2021), and Beautiful English (Dreich Books, 2021). She teaches at the University of Birmingham. Gould was a reviewer for Harriet Books in 2021.
